A dental veneer is normally made of porcelain. It can be shaped and sized to fit perfectly over the top of your existing tooth, and the colour can be matched to the teeth around it. When the veneer has been placed it will look completely natural.
It starts by taking a mould of your mouth so that we can have the lab to create the right size tooth. You may also want to have your teeth whitened before the veneer is created. It will be matched to the colour of your existing teeth so if you want to brighten your smile, do this first.
Once the veneers are created you will come back for a second visit. The tooth where the veneer will be placed will need to be filed down with grooves placed onto the surface. This is an important step because if your tooth wasn’t filed down the veneer would stick out above the gum line. The grooves are used to help the cement glue to stay in place. The veneer is then placed on top of the glue and placed perfectly. Once it has bonded the procedure is complete, and you can go home.
Dental veneers are extremely versatile and can be used to correct chipped, uneven, and damaged teeth.
It does not have any side effect on your existing health since it is always made of material s which is bio compatible.
